Reissue is a skincare recommendation platform that I co-founded in 2018. I started Reissue on Instagram, as @re_issue with the aim of delivering skincare information in a more organized, yet creative way. In a span of a year, we’ve grown Reissue to 114k Instagram followers and 17k signed-up users with $0 spent in marketing.

Colors

Colors play a huge role in Reissue since it visualizes many elements in skincare such as skin concerns, benefits, and ingredients. I selected white and dark grey as a primary color with four different secondary colors.

Typography

We use various colors often with long text, especially when we make educational content. Therefore, I preferred to use a sans-serif typeface due to its simplicity and clarity. I choose the same font – Larsseit with the one that used in our web app to create consistency in our visual alignment.

Iconography

Icons are mainly used to represent the benefits and side effects of skincare ingredients. They are designed with rounded corners not only to add a soft touch but also to raise recognizability. These icons are used on the web platform and marketing content beside the name of ingredients to explain their properties.
